When you use VidUp, we collect:

• Email address (during signup)
• YouTube channel data — public data only (channel name, subscriber count, video metadata)
• Generated pack content (titles, hook scripts, thumbnail ideas you generate)
• Payment information — processed securely by PhonePe; we do not store card or bank details
• Usage data (generations, credits used, login activity)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve VidUp services
• Process payments via PhonePe
• Generate output calibrated to your specific channel and niche
• Improve AI output quality using anonymous, aggregated performance data
• Send transactional emails (signup confirmation, payment receipts)
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party
• We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent

3. Third-Party Services

VidUp uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication
• Anthropic Claude — AI generation engine
• YouTube Data API — competitor video analysis (public data only)
• PhonePe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting

4. Data Storage

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India via Supabase. By using VidUp you consent to this storage and processing. We do not transfer your personal data outside India except where required to provide the service (e.g. AI generation via Anthropic).

5. Data Retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active
• Deleted accounts: all personal data removed within 30 days of deletion
• Anonymous learning data: retained indefinitely (contains no personal information)
• Generated pack content: retained in your account history until you delete it

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time

7. Cookies

• We use essential cookies only for authentication sessions
• One session cookie to keep you logged in
• No advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data. Never share your password with anyone. If you receive any communication claiming to be VidUp and asking for sensitive information, report it to connect@vidup.in immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via email or in-app announcement. Continued use of VidUp after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
